Connecting people with a new approach to recovery

Alano PeerConnect Recovery Support Services help people realize their strengths and areas for opportunity and connects them with peers for support. Together, we can be each other’s link to sustained recovery.

You’re the expert in your life and your recovery.
We’re just here to help.

While mutual aid and clinical programs remain important recovery tools, research shows people need more—more options, more personalized support, and more connections—for health and happiness in recovery.

Alano Peer Recovery Support Services is a holistic approach that uses a multiple pathway recovery system. At its core, it’s about empowering individuals to identify and use their inherent skills to create a recovery plan that’s right for them.

How it works

1.

You meet with a peer recovery specialist to create a plan shaped around strengths, interests, skills and goals.

2.

Your peer recovery specialist is with you every step of the way, offering empathetic, non-judgmental support and access to services that best fit your recovery plan.

3.

Together, you decide what’s working and what’s not. As often as you decide, you can make changes to your plan and find new supports or resources.

Not a one-size-fits-all approach.

A what-fits-you approach.

Our philosophy

Recovery capital, the theory behind Alano PeerConnect Recovery Support Services, is the idea that everything in life can be a resource. From things like personal traits to influences such as social connections. Nearly everything in or around us can be used as a form of recovery capital. Studies suggest the more recovery capital a person gains, the higher their level of success in long-term recovery.

It’s the belief that by understanding the whole person in their environment with all their motivations, stressors, hopes and fears, we can help them find a recovery experience that ebbs and flows with their lives. One that is fluid enough to account for unforeseen roadblocks and defined enough to follow through.
